Blackstone Rivers Ranch Wedding Videographer: Valeria and Zach's Unhurried July Film, Start to Finish

If you are looking for a Blackstone Rivers Ranch wedding videographer, the best proof is a real film from the ranch, and here is one: Valeria and Zach, July 2024.

I'm Andrew with Peak Wedding Films in Colorado Springs, and I filmed and edited their whole day myself.

The film runs a little over five minutes, delivered exactly as they received it.

Watch Valeria and Zach's Blackstone Rivers Ranch Film

Wide skies and wide open hearts in the Colorado foothills. It was a July afternoon that felt unhurried from beginning to end, and I wanted the film to feel the same way.

Valeria and Zach share a dip kiss under sunlit trees at Blackstone Rivers Ranch, with the sun flaring through the branches behind them

That frame is one of my favorites from the day. Bright sun through the trees, and two people who had stopped paying attention to anything else.

What an Unhurried Film Actually Takes

Unhurried does not happen by accident. It comes from a timeline with room in it and a filmmaker who is not watching the clock for a second wedding.

I take one wedding per day. On Valeria and Zach's date, nobody else was waiting on me, so there was no reason to rush a portrait or cut a moment short.

Pacing in the edit matters just as much. I let shots breathe when the day breathed. A slow walk stays slow, and a quiet moment stays quiet. That is how a five-minute film can still feel like a whole afternoon.

Filming a Wedding in the Foothills

Foothills venues give you big sky, tall trees and changing light, sometimes all in the same hour. That is a gift for a film, as long as someone plans around it.

Mountain weather turns, and I plan for that too. My gear is weather sealed and the timeline flexes in real time, so a forecast does not decide whether your film gets made. Some of the most cinematic footage I have shot happened under storm skies.

Aerial coverage is part of every package. One of my favorite shots is a drone pull-out: it starts tight on the two of you, then slowly opens to show everyone who came.

The venue sets the rules on where a drone can fly, so I confirm that before the day.

How I Stay Out of the Way

I shoot the day as it happens. Long lenses, distance wherever distance works, and nothing re-staged for the camera. I will guide a few moments where it helps. Mostly, I am watching.

Weddings are beautiful chaos, and you will miss things while you are living inside them. My job is to catch what you could not see: the reaction you missed and the detail that made the day yours.

Then I edit every frame myself. The person cutting your vows is the person who heard them.

Planning Your Own Blackstone Rivers Ranch Film

A few choices make a foothills film feel as easy as the day did:

  • Leave margin in the timeline. Ten spare minutes before the ceremony and after portraits is what lets a day look unhurried on screen.
  • Plan portraits for late light. A July sun sits high for most of the afternoon, so the warm, low light comes near the end of the day.
  • Ask the venue about drone rules and which way the ceremony faces. We build the shot list around both on our call.
  • Tell me the moments that matter most. Every booking includes a pre-wedding call, so I understand your day completely before it arrives.

Every drive is priced before you book, never added later. You can see what each package includes, along with the travel bands and hours of coverage.

Is Your Date Still Open?

Peak season dates, June through October, tend to fill 12 to 18 months out. I take one wedding per day, so your date is either open or it is not. Tell me your date and your venue, and I will check it myself.
